General Assembly of the United Nations

Resolutions and decisions, including those recommended by the six main committees, are adopted in plenary meetings, usually before the end of the regular session in December. In establishing the GA agenda, the UN Secretariat first compiles a series of preparatory documents leading up to the draft agenda. The UN institutional entities support the intergovernmental processes and some also engage in operational activities around the world.
